Mermaid Fun

 Hello Crafty Friends!

I couldn’t let the month of May swim by without sharing one more mermaid creation! Today I’m on the TGF Blog featuring a super fun underwater card using the MERMAID FUN stamp set. These little characters are such a joy to color — every tiny scene comes to life so easily.

Card Details:

To build the ocean backgrounds, I ink blended Distress Oxide Inks and added Mica sprays and water for that soft, shimmery sea texture. Once everything was dry, I used a window‑style cover die to create four little panels, giving each mermaid and sea creature their own mini underwater world.

I cut the same panel again from white cardstock to frame the scenes and add crisp contrast. All the images were stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut before being popped onto the backgrounds with foam adhesive for dimension. Each section has its own tiny sentiment, and to finish everything off, I sprinkled clear enamel drops throughout to mimic bubbles.

Thank you so much for stopping by today — wishing you a magical, mermaid‑filled end to May!

XOXO

  • Each image was stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut using my Scan & Cut.
  • The big Happy birthday sentiment was die cut and added to the background.
